About Provider

At the age of 17, my days were consumed by a singular preoccupation: food. My perfectionist obsession heightened every day, dictating life choices while cultivating fear around ‘bad’ food. I succumbed to the social frenzy, eliminating gluten, meat, carbs, with only a handful of ‘safe’ foods. I was terrified of skipping a workout, losing myself in the pursuit of unattainable health ideals. My perception of wellness became severely skewed, turning me into someone I needed during those challenging times.

I’ve journeyed through the depths of obsession, fear, and shame, emerging on the other side with a profound mission: to empower those treading a parallel path.

With a doctorate in public health, master’s in nutrition science, state-licensed dietitian, and even as a certified personal trainer, I have built lifechanging tools towards assisting others to achieve a life that aligns with their values. But people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. I invite you to read below to learn more about I am dedicated to championing your journey toward embracing your authentic self, free from the shackles of restrictive diets and punishing health regimens.

Behind the Scenes

My personal battle with an eating disorder inspired my journey to becoming your Nutrition Provider

I thought diet was the cure all for everything. I truly believed, “If I completely cut out sugar, gluten, carbs, meat, etc. from my diet, I will fully recover from *insert health problem here*”. With a perfectionistic mindset and people-pleasing personality, the number on the scale ruled me, while the feelings of inadequacy only surged.

Trapped in a tunnel vision mindset, it took a support team to help me break free from not feeling good enough. After 4 years of battling relapse, my personal and professional journey in disordered eating lead me down a path of adopting practical  and compassionate behavioral changes.

I truly believed I was the only one challenged with this battle. However, my first job out of graduate school illustrated the adverse effects of the diet industry. Working alongside a nationally-recognized medical doctor who valued weight loss and numbers more than self respect opened my eyes to the negative consequences that resonate from diet culture.

After years of graduate research in the realm of disordered eating, I learned the power of our thought process and neuroplasticity, paired with the benefits of practicing self-compassion instead of self-hatred. This principle of restructuring the habit of thought in pursuit of self-autonomy is at the heart of my education and practice as a nutrition provider. I support individuals through their personalized journey to reach long-term health habits, inspiring hundreds of individuals to shift from quick fixes and diets to sustainable behavior changes.
